A Trail From Horseshoe Bay, Bermuda Reveals Surprises

What's Beyond Horseshoe Bay?

If Bermuda’s South Shore’s gorgeous Horseshoe Bay beach feels too crowded, are there any nearby alternatives?  Absolutely! A small walking path leads to amazing beaches.  Follow the path to unique rock formations, Blue Parrotfish, and calm turquoise waters.  Striking pink sand and serene privacy await!

Water Rocks Beach

Uncommon Rocks

On the path, unique rock formations come into view.  You’ve come to Water Rocks Beach. Take some time to explore these eye-catching structures. They’re are made from black volcanic rock and white, cream colored limestone.

Hidden Beach

Continuing down the path, you arrive at Hidden Beach.  Here you can wade with Bermuda’s native Blue Parrotfish. Using their teeth, they scrape algae and small organisms from the limestone rock.

Interestingly, all Parrotfish are protected in Bermuda. They make an invaluable contribution to maintaining  healthy reefs and producing Bermuda’s beautiful pink sand. We were thrilled to get an up-close video of these stunning fish in action!

Jobson's Cove

Up next on the path is serene Jobson’s Cove.  Looking for gentle crystal clear water?  Look no further!  Local families with small children often come here for its calm protected waters.

Also, Jobson’s Cove attracts the adventurous.  Carved steps in the rocks lead to deeper water where, during high tide, the brave can be seen jumping into the cool ocean water below.

Quiet Waters

Warwick Long Bay

Pink Sands

At the end of the walking path, appears Bermuda’s longest beach, Warwick Long Bay.  Paradise is found with it’s soft and exquisite pink sand and cooling breezes.  Take a dip in the refreshing ocean or snorkel around the offshore coral island.  Because it’s a half-mile long, finding a private spot is effortless.

Endless Privacy

So, what will it be?  Will you choose unique rock formations at Water Rocks Beach, Blue Parrotfish at Hidden Beach, gentle waters and adventure at Jobson’s Cove, or endless privacy at Warwick Long Bay?  Visit one or make a day of it and visit them all.  Either way, you can’t go wrong along the walking path from Horseshoe Bay.
